This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
uh, by posting WIPs you'd be PROVING that you aren't infringing on other people's rights......thats the point.
i've been on DA for years, submitting original work (NOT fanart...which you seem to think is the only thing that survives around here, not the case) and i've never been called out because my content is original AND i tend to post WIPs when possible.
No, not really. It's just funny that I've been doing this work for a while now. I jsut recently started producing in Photoshop because it's less time consuming. whether I did it on comp or by hand, the work would pretty much look the same. When someone does a portrait of someone... it's fine, but here it's scrutinized? How many of you have gone into the mall and seen an airbrushed T-shirt of Tupac or Elvis? That artist is just trying to display his skills. Is he really hurting anyone? You might say that he's doing it for the money and that's wrong... you have a point, but even if he never got paid a dime for it, does that take away from the fact that he drew the hell out of that shirt and did his thing? or are you waiting for Tupac's mother and Elvis' daughter to come out of the shadows and sue his ass off? You guys have totally taken this beyond my doing a simple picture here. You're all acting like we're on msnbc debating over the moral dilemma of the century... it's a picture! It's not worth all of the hate. I did the work, you don't believe me... fine. I'm not going back and pull out files upon files, proving that I'm that good, I did it the first time when I made the work. You're not going to find my name in bold print on any issue of Spiderman, I was doing grunt-work... finishing pencils and inks for other artists, making damn-near nothing for it. I did it because I needed the experience and it gave me a chance to meet some of the people that I admired... that's art. Not for profit, not to infringe on anyone's rights... because I loved it. I just wanted to show my work here... what I love. Not to argue, not to fight, not to have to jump through hoops every time I want to post something. It's just not worth it. I didn't mean any of the jabs I took. You guys are not bad... keep going and it'll get better, it will. I just don't see the point in the argument anymore, believe what you want to... you've taken the fun out of it... I'm done...
